Terms
Last updated August 6, 2026. Written in plain English on purpose. A lawyer has not reviewed this yet, and it will be reviewed before we take real payments.
Who may use the site
Exercise Buddy Finder is for adults aged 18 and over. It is run by Annette Thompson, who can be reached at [email protected].
What we do
We introduce you to independent people who will exercise with you on video. We are an introduction service and nothing more. We do not employ them, supervise them, schedule them, set their prices, or take a share of what you pay them.
What we charge for
Membership gives you contact details for everyone listed on the site. It does not buy you any sessions, and it is not a payment toward any session. Anything you pay a buddy or trainer is arranged and paid directly between the two of you.
When paid membership begins, you will be able to cancel online at any time and keep access through the period you already paid for. A cancellation stops the next renewal. It does not cancel or refund sessions arranged directly with a buddy or trainer.
You may request a full refund of your most recent monthly or annual membership payment within 30 days of that charge. Email [email protected] from the address on your account. After 30 days, refunds are not automatic, but you may still contact us when something has gone wrong. This policy does not limit rights that cannot legally be limited where you live.
Sessions and direct-payment disagreements
Exercise Buddy Finder does not attend sessions, hold session money, or decide the terms between you and a provider. Agree on the price, currency, payment method, cancellation terms, and session-refund terms before paying. We cannot issue a refund for session money we never received, but we will review a provider's listing when you report non-delivery, pressure, fraud, or repeated disputes.
Nobody here is a medical professional
Our buddies and trainers are not doctors, nurses, dietitians, or physical therapists. Nothing they say is medical advice, and they are not allowed to give any. In particular, they must never advise you about medication, diagnose anything, or treat an injury.
If you take a weight-loss medication, have a heart condition, have osteoporosis, get dizzy, have fallen recently, or have been unwell, please talk to your own doctor before you start. Tell your buddy directly what your doctor said you should avoid. If anything hurts, stop.
Exercise carries risk, and you accept it
Moving your body can cause injury. Doing it on a video call means nobody is physically in the room with you. You take part at your own risk and are responsible for deciding what feels safe for you on any given day.
Certified and not certified
When someone is described as a verified fitness trainer, we have checked their listed certification and show the date of that check.
When someone is described as an exercise buddy, they are not presented as having a verified fitness qualification and are not offering professional instruction. A buddy may join you for strength workouts, walks, or following a video together, but does not design workouts or correct technique. Each status is labelled clearly where you choose whom to contact.
What verification does not mean
Before publishing a real provider, Annette privately matches a government photo ID to that person on a live video call. This confirms identity only. It is not a criminal background, employment, or immigration check. Credential verification means only that we checked the fitness credential listed on the profile. Neither check is a medical qualification, endorsement, or guarantee. Watch the introduction video, begin with a 15-minute hello, and make your own decision about fit.
Privacy and recording
Exercise Buddy Finder is not in your calls and does not record them. Neither person may record, photograph, or screenshot a session unless both people clearly agree beforehand. Do not share another person's contact information, messages, image, or private details.
Telling us when something goes wrong
If a buddy gives medical advice, promises results, pushes you past what feels safe, or behaves in a way that makes you uncomfortable, please tell us right away. Use the member report form, the suggestion button, or email [email protected]. We suspend first and ask questions afterwards when your safety or comfort may be at risk.
Behaving decently
Our buddies are working people, often in countries where this income matters a great deal. Please treat them as you would want to be treated. Harassment in either direction ends an account immediately.
Public reviews
Reviews must describe the member's own genuine experience. We may delay, decline, or remove a review that includes private information, threats, harassment, medical claims, or something we cannot responsibly publish. A poor rating is not, by itself, a reason to remove an honest review.
Suspending or ending an account
We may temporarily suspend a profile or account while reviewing a safety or conduct report. We may end access or remove a listing for fraud, harassment, medical advice, serious deception, repeated role violations, misuse of private information, or conduct that puts another person at risk. We consider the available information and record the action taken. Immediate suspension is a protective step, not a final finding.
This site is in beta
Things will change, and some of them will be imperfect. That is what the suggestion button is for, and we genuinely read every message that comes through it.
