How an online exercise buddy session works
Short answer: In an online exercise buddy session, both people join an agreed video or phone call from their own locations and do the planned movement together. Beforehand they agree the activity, time, app, price, and boundaries; afterward they arrange another session only if both want to.
Before the call
Choose movement you already feel comfortable doing, unless you booked a verified trainer for instruction. Confirm the date in both time zones and test the app, camera, sound, and internet connection.
Put the device on a stable surface rather than holding it during movement. Clear the floor, collect any equipment, and keep water and a phone nearby.
At the beginning
Start by confirming the session length and plan. Say whether you want conversation, quiet company, repetition counting, reminders, or enthusiastic encouragement. Either person can pause or end the call.
A buddy should not inspect your body, ask for health details, or turn a companionship session into unsolicited coaching.
While you move
You might walk in separate neighbourhoods with audio connected, cycle on separate stationary bikes, follow the same video, or each complete a different familiar routine while staying on the call.
The buddy’s value is that another real person arrived. The session does not need to be intense, complicated, or perfectly synchronized.
After the session
Pay using the method and currency you agreed directly with the provider. Exercise Buddy Finder does not handle session payments or take a commission.
If you enjoyed the session, agree the next time. If the match was not right, you may choose someone else. Report pressure, scams, medical advice, harassment, repeated non-response, or other conduct concerns to Annette.
